Hyaloo Ph was officially launched a few weeks ago and I am so happy to share with you their Aqua Plus range because I have pily but dehydrated skin! For those who may not be aware, oily skin is usually the skin's defense mechanism for dryness or dehydration. When you hydrate your skin properly, you also help address the oiliness and HyalooPh does that with the popular skincare ingredient Hyaluronic acid!
Just to be clear, this is an introduction and a little bit of first impressions. I will post a separate review after I am able to test these for a few weeks.

What is Hyaloo Ph Aqua Plus?
Aqua Plus is one of the pilot skincare lines launched by the new paraben-free and cruelty-free skincare brand, HyalooPh.
The other line which is in peachy-pink packaging is called Glow Boost by HyalooPh. I want to try that too because if you know me, I am a sucker for niacinamide skincare haha!
Anyway, this line has 4X the hyaluronic acid plus ceramides as compared to the brand's other products, I guess. I tackled ceramides before in my blog post about Estee Lauder Ceramide capsules so I will just talk about Hyaluronic acid for this post since all my in-depth features focusing on its skin hydrating properties are via video.

All HyalooPh products are mildly scented so yay for me! They are mineral-oil free, non-comedogenic, contains no synthetic colors, vegan, cruelty-free, paraben-free, alcohol-free, and packaged in recyclable packaging. I can't believe this is a Filipino skincare brand!
What is Hyaluronic Acid?
Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that also exists in our bodies abundantly. However, as we age and as we are exposed to stressors like bad diet, pollution, and other factors, we don't have as much of it as we need, resulting in 'dryness' inside and outside of our body (yes, I said inside but that's for another blog post!). Anyway, because our skin is our largest organ and is the most visible, the effects of decreased hyaluronic acid are very visible on the skin and so this is why this has become a very popular ingredient in skincare products.
Hyaluronic acid is a water-loving substance that attracts water. If you use it in skincare, it can help retain moisture as well as draw moisture on the air to go on top of the skin.
Hyaluronic acid also goes by other names such as:
- Ácido Hialurónico
- Hyaluronate Sodium
- Acide Hyaluronique
- Glycosaminoglycan
- Hylan
- Glycosaminoglycane,
- Sodium Hyaluronate
- Hyaluran
- Hyaluronan
- Hyaluronate de Sodium
Hyaluronic Acid Benefits for Skincare
- Can increase the speed of wound healing so skin that is well hydrated with hyaluronic acid can bounce back faster from stressors and minor skin injuries.
- Can promote healthier and more supple skin.
- A lot more but its more of an entire lecture on biochemistry and physiology, haha! MADAMI!
Hyaloo Aqua Plus Foam Wash
This foam wash by HyalooPh is a low-sudsing foam wash that gently lifts off dirt and impurities. It really doesn't foam a lot but I think that is because it is designed as a mild cleanser (so less surfactants). It is a common misconception that the more bubbly a cleanser is, the more effective it is but yes, that is false.
I will update with a review but so far I am loving this on its own as well as for double-cleansing. This foaming cleanser is gentle enough for day and night use.
Hyaloo Aqua Plus Low-Ph Cleansing Toner
This reminds me a lot of the Hello Glow Toner because this toner is so mild and refreshing and has no sting at all! I feel like my wishes for a non-fruity version of the Hello Glow Toner have been answered.
This toner is so mild and feels like water. Very gentle and refreshing that I use this multiple times a day during summer although the packaging just says use twice a day, haha!
Hyaloo Aqua Plus Deep Hydrating Gel
I am already claiming this deep hydrating gel from Hyaloo Ph as my favorite! This feels like water and feels so refreshing for both the face and the body. Perfect for summer too because the consistency is so light and truly feels like a water spritz but in gel form.
I use this multiple times a day so far and will share my thoughts in a separate review.
Hyaloo Aqua Plus Hydrating Sheet Mask
This is my least favorite in the whole bunch but maybe because I just have had it with masks. I guess this is great if you want instant hydration so I will try to bring one with me on a plane after the pandemic so I can see if it can give me miracles. Travelling is so dehydrating on the skin, especially air travel. I miss air travel and I hope I can try this on a plane soon!
Hyaloo Aqua Plus Water Cream
This is my second favorite in the Aqua Plus line of HyalooPh. I am a sucker for sunscreen and this has SPF50 in a watery and light formula. Too early to tell how effective this is because I have only been using for a few days but I will share a review or update once I have taken this the whole nine yards of my activity repertoire for when I do sunscreen reviews. For now, just think of this as a thin moisturizer that happens to have sun protection!
I like the formula because sunscreen is supposed to be reapplied every few hours and this is so light so it doesn't make me look like I am sweating buckets of oil. With other sunscreens in the summer, I end up looking like a maputlang lechon by the time noon rolls over. This so far just gives me very little sheen.
These are all the HyalooPh products I have tried for now! Detailed reviews soon in IG stories @pinaybeautyandstyle or YouTube if I don't forget! I have enough daily reviews lined up for the entire year so sometimes I just update an existing post instead of creating a new one.
I am kinda loving these the same way as my local favorite Hello Glow All Natural Whitening Set!
