Summer is in and it's time to indulge in better skincare plus fun hair colors! The products that I am going to share with you below were sent by their marketing team last year but I haven't posted a written review yet, just videos on youtube and facebook. After testing them for a few months, I can now share my verdict and tell you why they are great for summer! And btw, since I receive plenty of inquiries about this topic, yes, Cathy Doll is cruelty-free!

What's New with Cathy Doll?
Cathy Doll has a lot of new products but not all are available in the Philippines where I am based. As mentioned earlier, these were sent to me last year but I wanted to be sure to test them out first before writing a post so that I can share insights and why you should try them.
Summer is a time for fun and frolicking under the sun. Unfortunately, things are still in lockdown and so most of us can only express our individuality by what we wear and how we look in the photos that we share and what is visible when we are wearing masks.
Cathy Doll Color Tint Hair Treatment Review
Cathy Doll Color Tint Hair Treatment is a temporary hair color and hair treatment in one. IDK about you but in my experience, repeated dyeing of hair can really cause so much damage and so for me, products that give me temporary hair color are great because I can enjoy different color hair every few weeks. This hair treatment by Cathy Doll is free from sulfate, ammonia, and paraben so if you have sensitive skin and already damaged hair, this is worth a look.
Cathy Doll Color Tint Hair Treatment comes in 5 gel-like colors and works well for bleached hair or pale hair. If you have dark hair, it will only give a slight tint that is visible in the sun. What I love is that it conditions the hair so it is not a complete loss even if you used this on dark hair.
How to Use Cathy Doll Color Tint Hair Treatment?
- Wash your hair with shampoo without putting on conditioner.
- Rinse and towel dry then apply the color tint where you want to put temporary hair color on your hair.
- Let this stay for about 10-15 minutes and rinse.
- Dry and style hair and enjoy your temporary hair color!
There are 5 colors, Emerald Green, Modern Blue, Pink Rose, Red Rose, and Violet.
They last a decent amount of time. They last 2-3 weeks on my hair and the softness from the hair treatment lasts 3-5 days. You will need 2 to 3 sachets if you have long hair so I mixed Red Rose and Pink Rose. They weren't very visible because my natural hair is dark brown but they give me a pink-red glow when the light hits my hair.
Cathy Doll Anti-AC Cushion Review
The Anti-AC Cushion stands for anti-acne. I know, right! It got me confused too because at first glance I thought it was a giant CC cream, haha! Anyway, this is a cushion cleanser that has tea tree oil for deep cleansing plus other anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory ingredients so this is perfect for acne-prone skin and sensitive skin. I gave this to my brother and he says that the cleansing effect is not drying and it doesn't trigger his hives. Generally speaking, this is for oily skin too because of the tea tree oil.
Cathy Doll Hya Cushion Review
The Hya in Hya Cushion stands for hyaluronic acid I think. This is what I kept for myself because I tested this in the last quarter of 2020 when the weather was a bit colder and my combination oily-dry skin is more dry. Hyaluronic acid is great for hydrating parched skin so if you are from an arid area, this would be a great facial cleanser for you during summer.
Cathy Doll Aqua Sun Non Greasy Body Sun Serum Review
I haven't tested this to the max yet, just when tending to my small garden around 10-11 am. True to the claim that this is not sticky but I notice I get streaks of white sometimes. What I like is how watery it is and fast absorbing, kind of like when you use a light lotion so yes this does have hydrating properties. This is like a super affordable version of essence sun sunscreen products from Japan. I might post a separate Cathy Doll Aqua Sun Non Greasy Body Sun Serum Review after more testing but so far, this is a really good buy!
Cathy Doll Aloe Vera and Snail Serum Soothing Gel Review
I love this soothing gel! I recently posted a review blog for the Best Soothing Gel HERE and this wasn't included in there because I drafted that a long time ago but I will just post a standalone Cathy Doll Aloe Vera and Snail Serum Soothing Gel review in the near future. I like how handy this is unlike other soothing gels in huge tubs so fits perfectly in small bags and the like. I have two, one downstairs and one upstairs just because I really enjoy using this as a lightweight hydrating lotion for both face and body. I haven't been sunburned yet lately because we are in lockdown hence no beach time but I did use this for a splash burn and it made the burn sting less and not develop a wheal. This has 99% Aloe Vera too which explains the skin soothing and healing properties! Recommended!
Cathy Doll Face Masks: Morning, Cloudy, and Twilight
I have only tried the morning mask and it worked great! These are like standard face masks except that each mask has a specific function or extra benefit. The hyaluronic acid morning mask will give you glass skin for an entire day without making your face look oily or haggard. I call it the fresh summer look and it is really flattering. Maybe will work even better if you've been out in the sun and need a refreshing mask for your face. I recommend to refrigerate for 2 hours or place in freezer for around 10-15 minutes before use.
