One of the most common questions that subscribers and followers ask me about on Instagram and Youtube is asking about affordable cruelty-free makeup in the Philippines and what recommendations I have for paraben-free makeup that they can use for summer. I would get a few DMs and emails about this per week all the time so I just figured to write a blog post so I can simply send a link for my Filipino makeup reviews.

Summer in the Philippines is brutal, so if you are looking for cruelty-free makeup or paraben-free cosmetics, the key is to look for tints for the tints and lips, powder foundation plus a setting powder for the face, and mostly go for small products that you can carry around because you will likely need to retouch during the day.
I made sure to think of the above scenarios and reasons while compiling this list. This is just my part one because I can think of other recommendations too but I thought that these are great because these are either on sale currently or until June 2021, budget-friendly year-round, and work great for layering and sweating under the sun! And yes, as requested, all are paraben-free and cruelty-free, yay!
Another consideration is that in the Philippines right now, we are required to wear masks. Cream products don't really work well because they transfer and melt with the humidity, sweat, and heat.

What is great with the Vice Cosmetics My Little Ponies Mini Good Vibes Lipsticks <--REVIEW HERE, is that it is so small and compact and you get a good selection of shades. This is perfect for going to the beach or just for building your kikay kit. The lasting power is really just the same as other normal Vice Cosmetics lipsticks but these are easier to apply without mistakes. I think this is my best purchase from Vice Cosmetics.
EB Advance Lip and Cheek Stain
I have a link to my EB Advance Lip and Cheek Stain Review and Swatches HERE so I will just share a summary. What I love the most about the gel formula of the Ever Bilena Lip and Cheek Stain is that its a tint that's not drying and is water-based so that it looks more natural for summer. I like that there are several options so you can pick one that will suit you better. One tube can last more than a year even if used several times a week so super SULIT. I always carry this in my kikay kit even when it is not summer in the Philippines!
Pop Studio Cosmetics Blush and Contour Duo
I blogged about the Pop Studio Cosmetics Launch and it was a big event with a concert and all that Jazz. The products are nice too so its so weird that it seems like the brand did not make it. Some people ask me What Happened to Pop Studio Cosmetics by Sarah Geronimo and I really do not know anything, not even any tea related to it. What I know is that the face powder products are nice, except for the clumsy packaging. I really love their blush and contour duo because the product has a good mattifying effect which makes it a good product to wear during summer in the Philippines. It can patch if you don't blot prior to application but the staying power is decent plus the makeup is paraben-free and cruelty-free!

EB Advance Face Trio
My old favorite is the EB Advance Face Duo by Ever Bilena but it was replaced by the Ever Bilena Face Trio in 2019. I don't have much to because I already covered everything on my reviews below (you can click on them to see so many swatches) but yes, this product is timeless and works great. You get 3 powder products per palette and its just under P300 or around $6. Not bad!
Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Powder Foundation
I have a full review for the Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation HERE but you can also watch the video below to know more about my full thoughts. I just think that this is a good choice for a powder because there are 8 shades available. Frankly speaking, Philippine drugstore makeup brands really create good powder products in general but most have just 2-5 shades. This performs like one of my drugstore favorites, the EB Advance BB Compact Powder but this is a little cheaper and more universal so I think more people can appreciate this powder foundation from Vice Cosmetics.

Pop Studio Cosmetics Mattifying Coverage Powder
The Pop Studio Cosmetics Mattifying Coverage Powder is a really nice product but for some reason, the brand just did not take off. This powder got 3 variations but all come with the white setting powder that really works great for under the eye and for helping blot the skin of sweat.
