Why I love skincare products with Niacinamide? What are Niacinamide skin benefits?
Niacinamide skin benefits range from tightening pores to making skin look brighter and more even. Personally, I am a fan of Niacinamide because it gets me the results I want for my sensitive and acne-prone skin without causing any irritation.
Below is a summary of my favorite Niacinaminade skin benefits:
- Niacinamide regulates the skin's oil production. I have dry skin on my body so this helps my skin stay hydrated and moisturized.
- Niacinamide protects again sun damage and addresses hyperpigmentation. Because I have fair skin, blemished are more visible. With the help of Olay BodyScience body wash, I get my daily dose of Niacinamide to even out my skin color.
- Niacinamide is great for breakouts and acne. I have body acne and as you can see in the picture above, my skin is currently clear and looking great!

Olay BodyScience Body Wash is a bath product formulated for everyday use and infused with Niacinamide. There are 3 variants:

Each variant is available in 2 sizes. 300 ml retails for P229 and 500 ml retails for P349. You need about a tablespoon per shower so 1 bottle goes a very long way. Olay BodyScience Body Wash Cleansing & Brightening (B3+ Vitamin C)
Vitamin C is known as an ingredient that's great for making the skin look more radiant and brighter especially when paired with Niacinamide. This Olay body wash has a sweet and fruity scent. I like this for when I am bathing in the morning. Cleansing property is surprisingly well. I say this because most body wash products still leave some dirt behind (very evident when I have makeup swatches on my arms) but I guess the rich formula is able to dissolve grimy and oily residue. The only reason this isn't my favorite is that I already have fair skin but I still use this for most of my morning showers.
Olay BodyScience Body Wash Cleansing & Nourishing (B3+ Hyaluronic Acid)
Hylarunic acid is perfect for those with dry skin so if your skin is a bit dry, this would be the best Olay Bodyscience creme body wash for you. It is currently still very warm in the Philippines and so I do not use this often despite having some dry areas on my body. What I found though is that this is great as a shaving cream! Because this glides so smooth, it helps me get a close shave as well as cleanse my skin while in the shower. For reference, I do shave both my arms and legs. The scent is more floral and citrus for me which I am not very fond of but I know a lot of ladies who loves scents like this.
Olay BodyScience Body Wash Cleansing & Firming (B3+ Peptide)
This is my favorite variant! I am in the second half of my 30s and so I need all the help I can get to keep my skin youthful and firm. Add to this that I am losing weight so I am struggling with making sure that I avoid loose skin. Peptide improves skin firmness and keeps skin hydrated and supple when paired with Niacinamide. The scent is very fruity too and almost has a hint of playfulness, very calming and refreshing!
OVERALL THOUGHTS:
I am so glad that Olay came up with this product. I am guilty of using a lot of skincare on my face and forgetting my body because I hate lotions and other body creams. With the Olay BodyScience Body Wash, I don't even have to put on lotion after shower or bathing because it provides enough moisture while infusing my skin with its beneficial effects. I hope they sell travel sizes too!
