Today, I'll share my short review on a good sunscreen for sensitive skin, the Some By Mi Truecica Mineral 100 Calming Suncream.

What is Truecica Mineral 100 Calming Sunscreen?
A tube retails for about $10-$20 depending on where you buy it and each tube is 50ml. The tube is a bit large for the contents so expect that there is extra space. Brands do this to allow the ingredients to expand when they are being shipped.
I have really sensitive skin so finding new products that I can wear every day with no issues is not that easy. I've had a great experience using Some By Mi Something Maxi Glam Cover Cushion and their other skincare products so it was a no brainer for me to try when they released a sunscreen for sensitive skin. I was also curious about what truecica is and whether it will work for me or not.
Ingredients are:
Water, Cetyl Ethylhexanoate, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Dipropylene Glycol, Zinc Oxide, Silica, 1,2-Hexanediol, Niacinamide, Polyglyceryl-3 Methylglucose Distearate, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Water, Titanium Dioxide, Sodium Polyacryloyldimethyl Taurate, Cetearyl Olivate, Sorbitan Olivate, Stearic Acid, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Peel Oil, Lauroyl Lysine, Disodium EDTA, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil, Lavandula Angustifolia Oil, Adenosine, Centella Asiatica Extract, Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, Caprylyl Glycol, Madecassoside, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Madecassic Acid
What caught my eye is that the formula contains no parabens and have a lot of tea tree oil and Centella for calming sensitive skin. It also has niacinamide which is great for dull skin.

I've used the Truecica Mineral 100 Calming Suncream for a full week before posting a review video on YouTube. To date, I'm almost out of my current tube so I figured now is the time to follow with a written review.
The suncream has a light feel and is easily absorbed. I like that it didn't give me a white cast although it gives me slightly dewy looking skin, unlike other sunscreen products I use. The scent is mild earthy and dissipates after a few minutes.

As you can see from the photo above, the consistency is more like a light lotion and not heavy at all. I think that is great considering this is designed as a summer product. I also noticed that my skin is hydrated enough when I use this even without applying moisturizer.
Overall, Truecica Mineral 100 Calming Sunscream worked great even under makeup. I did not notice any whitening effect but it did not cause irritation or breakout so that is still good.

Is this really a good sunscreen for sensitive skin?
The short answer is yes. Some By Mi Mineral 100 Calming Sunscreen did work on me. The downside is that it is a bit expensive for the size because I get the same effects from another sunscreen that only costs half. However, that sunscreen is only available in the Philippines so if you're from somewhere else, buying this suncream from Some By Mi might be cheaper.
I rate this 4.5/5 because it delivered all it promised.
