My first experience with a product from Vice Cosmetics wasn't a pleasant one. I was one of the first people to place an order in their website when Vice Cosmetics launched but due to volume of orders, their website went down for a day and the order fulfillment was delayed.
I was and am witness to how they grew and how serious they are with product development, improving with each new release. Over the past 1.5 years, they've consistently improved not only their customer service but their cosmetics as well; including the makasaysayang lip liner that drew ire from the Philippine makeup community. The current formula of their lip liner is a huge improvement!
Vice Cosmetics Foundation Launch! New Duo Finish Foundation for Filipinas with 8 Shades!
With the above said, I became a fan of the brand. I love them even more now because they've just released the first Vice Cosmetics Foundation! I say first because I believe that that the Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation is just the first in their line of foundation products. Yep, I'm seriously hoping/wishing for a liquid foundation next!
What is the Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation?
The Vice Cosmetics Duo Finish Foundation is a pressed powder foundation that can be used for both wet and dry application. When applied with a wet sponge, it takes on the function of a liquid foundation and dries to a soft matte finish. When applied with a brush or a dry sponge, it can be a setting powder, a foundation, or a loose powder product. Dry application gives a less plakado but still soft matte finish.
Each compact retails for P245 pesos and contains 7 grams of product with a sponge.

I arrived a bit early during the launch so was able to take photos with the product. I usually forget to take selfies when I'm with other bloggers because they are so fun to be with. This time I got a few moments to snap some pics.
I found my shade right at the start of the event because the staff tested our skin to see which shade will fit each attendee perfectly.
As of today, I've already done a full day wear test of the Vice Cosmetics Foundation applied dry and another day applied wet. Blog review will be up within 24-48 hours so stay tuned!
Are 8 Shades Enough? Will this Foundation for Filipinas Fit What's Missing in the Market?
I personally think that they should or could have expanded to 10 and added darker shades with cooler undertones. I believe that will still sell although really fair and really dark skin isn't a huge part of the market. Very light and very dark shades can be used for contouring and adjusting the regular shades. Still, 8 shades for a local range of base product is unheard of so very happy!

Event was a success from my perspective. Lots of fun. Chill atmosphere.
Cozy venue with a nice set-up. It is intimate and open with lots of instagramble nooks and Pinterest-worthy decor.
Best part is the fact that Trellis Manila is so near to my place because it's just in front of ABS-CBN. I'm not haggard going to an event this day! I forgot to take more pics because of so much chikahan.
