DIY hair removal is something that I've been doing since college days. I've tried numerous creams, lotions, hot wax for hair removal, and even created my own sugaring wax circa 2012, haha! So yeah, I've seen a lot and been through a lot when it comes to at home hair removal or DIY hair removal.
I'm on the 'balbon' side. That means I have noticeable body hair and even facial hair. I've always been a bit insecure about that because living in a tropical country means year-long license to wear shorts and skirts. My brother used to tease me that my legs are as hairy as his!
DIY Hair Removal System by Strip It! Filipina Secret Weapon for a Carefree Summer!
Over the past 2 decades, I've learned to accept my hairy legs but I still use DIY hair removal at home because having smooth legs (and arms) make me feel pampered. Its like DIY hair removal has become a sort of a ritual for me when I need to recharge or chill.

What or Who is Strip It? What Do They Sell?
Just a backgrounder, Strip It is a Filipino skincare brand known for their Sugaring Kits which they've been selling online for a few years now. From past experience, I know that their sugar hair removal wax is easy to use, rinses fast, and don't hurt my skin.
Strip It is based in Cavite and from what I can infer from the ingredients listed in their product packaging, they seem to formulate their products without adding fillers unlike other commercial retailers.

I was drawn to this first because of good feedback from someone I know. The Strip It Sun and Pollution Defense Multi Benefit SPF 50 is called as such because it is not only a sunscreen but also functions as a moisturizer. It can hydrate your skin and keep wrinkles away. Smells great too!
Strip It Bumps Away Ingrown Cream

Strip It Bumps Away Ingrown Cream is the second product in this DIY Hair Removal kit that caught my attention. I've always had a problem with ingrown hair on my legs so they look like they have small black dots even when I've just shaved. According to Strip It, the Strip It Bumps Away Ingrown Cream exfoliates and soothes as well as prevent ingrown hair after waxing. I think I need about 3 extra gallons of this, hahahah!
Strip It Hair Removal Sugaring Cold Wax with Calamansi
PRICE: available in 3 sizes, P80 for 50g, P200 for 150g, and P295 for 300g
Strip It Hair Removal Sugaring Cold Wax with Calamansi is the product for which Strip It became known for. This is the first product I tried from them last year too. The calamansi is supposed to lighten hair over time. This works best on fine hair like the hair on your arms.

Strip It Hair Removal Sugaring Cold Wax Chocolate is my personal favorite because it is formulated to really get rid of thick, coarse hair. As mentioned earlier, my hairy legs are a favorite of mine to wax so I think I'll need 5 extra gallons of this if there is gonna be a Zombie apocalypse (just kidding!)
Strip It Oh Scrrrub
PRICE: P385 a tub
Strip It Oh Scrrrub can be used a few days before waxing and the day after waxing to soothe, moisturize, exfoliate, and prevent ingrown hair. I like the size of the scrubs because they are not too abrasive. Love the tropical blend of coconut and papaya extracts. I can't detect the pineapple which was mentioned in the ingredients list but this really smells so delicious!
Strip It Aloe Vera Gel
PRICE: P84 for 50ml and P159 for 100ml
Strip It Aloe Vera Gel is made with aloe extract but kinda reminds me of cucumber because of the color. It is refreshing, light, hydrating, and soothing. I can't wait to try this after waxing!
Strip It DIY Hair Removal kits come with instructions as well as waxing sheets and a wooden scooper. They sell this too at the Strip It website and online store.
