Today's review is about an oldie but goodie favorite of mine for more than 5 years now, the Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack. The reason why it took me so long to review this is that I only use this a few weeks a year when my skin is at its most dry. Now that winter is coming (enter Game of Thrones theme music), we are back at the time of the year when I buy my annual supply of Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack for use during the end of the year and early January. So what do I have to say and why do I keep buying this? Find out below!
Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack Review
Before anything else, I just want to make it clear that the Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack is not skin whitening at least for me. What it does is that it hydrate your skin so that your skin looks even-toned and brighter. It's all about that chok chok skin trend for Korean skincare.
I have already forgotten how much I got my last pack for but it should be around $30-$45 depending on whether there is a sale or none. Each pack contains 16 capsules if I am not mistaken
About the Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack
So this White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack by Laneige offers both brightening and hydrating radiance. They say that this is formulated with MelaCrusher™ technology, which lightens skin pigmentation and transforms it into a more radiant and healthy complexion. The product has a distinct gel-like texture with a cooling effect and although the brand claims that it is not sticky, it does make the skin feel a little bit sticky or heavy upon application. Do not be tempted to rinse off, though. The feeling will go away after going to bed with the sleeping pack on.
By the way, the photos that I am using were taken years ago so just ignore if this is an old packaging or if the expiration date is clearly some time ago. Again, I am using old pictures from my archives. It really does take me years to post some of my blog reviews.
Benefits of the Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack
- Smoothens, firms and brightens the skin
- Comes in hygienic sachet packaging
- Allows for sufficient one-time use
- Leaves a cooling effect on the skin
Why must everything be in Korean? Why? I can't read Hangul!
I know that 3 ml for a mask pack looks like it is too little but once you've mixed it and applied it to your skin, you will find that you have enough to cover your neck as well or perhaps share with your bedtime buddy.
Ignore the expiration date, I took the photos way back in 2017 or 2018. I just found them in my archives so I felt compelled to finally post a blog review.
How to Use the Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack
These instructions are from the manufacturer:

- Use twice a week.
Review Summary Laneige White Plus Renew Capsule Sleeping Pack
This is my favorite sleeping pack for the winter months or when it is dry and with low humidity. This pack is also good for faking the look of having enough sleep or not being jetlagged after some travelling. It really doesn't whiten or maybe I am just not seeing it but it does give your skin a brightening glow by imparting hydration to it. I won't be rating this product but just know that this is one of my highly recommended ones for travellers or those who have shift work as this is very effective in making you look well-rested.
