Esfolio Gold Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch Review - Really Great for Tired Eyes!
What is the Esfolio Gold Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch?
So the reason why I got the Esfolio Gold Snail Hydrogel Eye Patch is that I have a bit of puffiness and lines under my eyes whenever I have to stay up late (which is almost everyday!). From the packaging itself, it states that this variant is for smoothing wrinkles and for nourishing the under eye skin, just what I need!
To be clear, I did not buy this for dark circles because I don't have those and I made sure to get the right variant for my under eye issues before purchasing. I mention this because some people have mistakenly bought this thinking it will get rid of any problem they have (see their comments here) but it was quite obvious they bought the product without understanding what it is for. I bring this up now so you don't waste your time in case you're thinking this is for dark circles. IT IS NOT. This is for tired eyes and tired undereyes!
This retails for P899 pesos for 30 pairs of patches. Enough for 30 uses. If you're lucky you may get this Esfolio Snail Eye Patch for a lot less during sales!

So the product comes in a box with a spatula for hygiene purposes. I can't remember if this came with a seal because I didn't take note of that detail. The product is quite heavy and that is because it contains 60 hydrogel patches soaked in snail serum.
A good thing with this product is that they have instructions to use, ingredients, along with other notes printed on the box in English and in Korean. I took a picture of the details so you can see them here upclose before purchasing too.
This is not paraben free by the way.
So as soon as I opened the jar I was greeted with a soft fresh aroma. That's the closest I can describe it. I like the scent because I thought it would smell bad somehow but it smelled clean and refreshing.
The silicone-y hydrogel patches are stacked on top of each other.
The hydrogel patches are thin enough to be comfortable but got enough structure to easily get torn.
I used the Esfolio Gold Snail Hydrogel Eye Patches as directed, which is to place a patch under the eye and let it stay for 10-20 minutes.
It immediately has a cooling effect and after 15 minutes, made my under eye look normal again (meaning it doesn't look like I've been crying which is how it looks like when I didn't have enough sleep).
When I'm done, I usually pat the remaining serum unto my under eye and cheeks and then either go to sleep (if at night) or start putting on makeup (when I use this in the morning).
I find that as long as I let the serum dry and get absorbed, I don't have any problem with makeup caking etc. You can watch my latest Althea Korea Haul video HERE to see how under eye skin behaves under makeup after using this. No creasing!
I give this a solid 4.5/5 or 9/5. My only issue with this is I have to bring the jar when traveling so I wish this is available in another more travel-friendly packaging. However, Esfolio have a lot of under eye creams anyway!
