Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway Review - Super Light Sunblock with No White Cast!
Readers who've been fans of this blog for a while know that I love using sunscreen and sunblock products but am not a fan of sticky feel and white cast. I am very picky when it comes to sun protection products that I use on my face and the Althea Petal Velvet Powder passed my standards so yey!
The Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway is the newest product in the Petal Velvet Line from Althea Korea. It promises to shield the skin from the sun while being lightweight, invisible, and bringing skin-saving nutrients to the skin.
The key ingredients are hyaluronic acid and damask rose extracts that can keep the skin looking fresh and hydrated for an extended period of time. I love that this product has SPF 50, does not leave my skin with white streaks, and have a powdery/velvet looking finish thanks to the powder micro-particles in the formula.

I like the minimalist square-ish packaging because it is travel-friendly
I really wish they start writing details in English since Althea Korea now caters to a worldwide audience.
I appreciate that the bottle has a pointy tip since this is a very liquidy product. You have to make sure that you shake vigorously before use to mix up the components. I made the mistake of not shaking and it dispensed a pale yellow cloudy liquid haha! I've read the product information and realized the powder particles are all in the bottom. After a shake, the product dispensed like melted ice cream.
The product got absorbed quite quick unto the skin after spreading with fingers. So far I've been using the Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway sunblock for about 2 weeks and it wears beautifully under makeup. On no makeup days, I like wearing it to even out my skin tone.
I think the Althea Petal Velvet Sunaway is a great sunscreen now that the weather is cooler because it really gives great hydration to the skin. If there is one thing I would like to change with it, it is the strong damask rose scent but I'm not a fan of florals so other people might like it. The formula is near perfect for me though so this gets a 4.5/5 for me :)
