Coconut for skincare is something that I believed in since I was a kid but being the city girl that I am, I am limited by both time and availability of coconut to use for skincare routine (not to mention the amount of effort probably needed to create your own coconut skincare, haha!). Having been given a sample of the coconut by a friend, I was really looking forward to trying out the entire Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Line as soon as I could!
Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Line Review
(my first time to try coconut skincare!)
I know from my random internet research that coconut for skincare is great for those who like me have dry skin, skin inflammation, redness, and the like. I tried the entire Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Line with the hopes that I'll get the benefits of using coconut skincare without the hassle. Glad I did!
What is the Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Line?
The line is a 6-step coconut skincare designed to streamline the skincare routine of the user. Their marketing talks about the line's promise of brightening the face, smoothing wrinkles, and addressing sun damage.

Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Facial Toner
(200 ml) ₱569.00
The Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Facial Toner promises to improve the moisture level of the skin as well as help balance the skin's pH. The active ingredient is hyaluronic acid which is supposed to give the skin an overall healthier and hydrated look by conditioning it, plumping it with extra hydration, and as a result giving the skin a softer more lively feel.
MY THOUGHTS: I love the Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Facial Toner! I usually just pat this unto my skin after cleansing with either a thin cotton pad or just my fingers. Sometimes I skip the essence because I find that this alone is enough some days.
One hack that I do is use this to cleanse/freshen my face in the middle of the day. The liquid is fast absorbing and pairs well with my other existing skincare. The only negative I can think of is that the bottle is too big for travel and you can only get the travel size if you buy the entire Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Line set. Other than the that limitation this is an absolute fave for my skin!

Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Facial Lotion

The Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Facial Lotion is marketed as a moisture-boosting product that you use on top of the toner and under your moisturizer. The key ingredient are squalane (one of my fave skincare ingredients) and coconut oil that together help to enhance skin elasticity, promote hydration, and give the effect of a rejuvenated and revitalized skin.
MY THOUGHTS: I'm supposed to love this because it has my favorite ingredients but I find that this can give a little too much nourishment for my oily skin. I guess those who have dry skin will love this to bits but for my oily skin, I find that just the toner and the cream (with the essence) sometimes are enough.
If you have dry skin, you might need this but if you have oily-combination skin like mine, skipping this should be okay. I wish they make this in smaller bottles as well for those people who would just want to try if coconut skincare is for them.
Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Perfecting Cream
(120 ml) ₱799.00
The Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Perfecting Cream is the moisturizer in this whole line. Coconut oil, hyaluronic acid, and shea butter are the key ingredients and are thrown together to give you less wrinkles, banish feelings of skin dryness and tightness, and give you a more youthful healthier look.
I think the jar will last me about 3 months if not more, hahah! One hack that I use this for is for my elbows and knees. You simply use a pea-sized amount and wake up with pretty knees and elbows.
This cream smells sweet, by the way. I know some people may find that to be a con but I personally like that coconutty-sweet scent so I love this!
Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Waterfull Cream
(120 ml) ₱799.00
The Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Waterfull Cream has 20% moisturizing agents and is supposed to give you skin that is plumper, smoother, and softer by preventing moisture loss and protecting the skin's natural barrier.
MY THOUGHTS: I think that the Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Waterfull Cream is made to be used as a skin treatment, sort of like a deep conditioning treatment but for the skin. You might be able to get away with using this daily if your skin is ultra-parched but as for myself, using this every other night is more than enough to give me the level of hydration that I want. I guess that is why this line is called the Super Rich line, noh? Very hydrating kasi.
I can't think of a con except maybe hygiene issues as the jar is quite big and will last you a while. Smaller jars would have been great. I really hope Esfolio release this in smaller packaging. The scent is also sweet and coconutty just like the wrinkle cream.
Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Eye Cream
(40 ml) ₱459.00
The Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Eye Cream is designed to combat dark circles and to provide effective hydration to the sensitive undereye area. Portulaca oleracea and witch hazel extracts are the active ingredients together with shea butter, hyaluronic acid, and coconut oil.
MY THOUGHTS: Confession, I used this for my under eye and loved this so much that I tried this for the entire face and woke with with amazing skin! I admit I copied that hack elsewhere via Pinterest but hey, the fast-absorbing and light formula of this under eye cream is perfect! I also hacked this for use on my lips when I ran out of lip balm. It worked haha!
Esfolio Super Rich Coconut Vital Essence
(40 ml) ₱459.00
The Esfolio Super Rich Vital Coconut Essence is marketed as a product for layering hydration. The star ingredients are hyaluronic acid for improved hydration, niacinamide (which made me super excited) for brightening the complexion, and coconut oil for locking in hydration and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. This is supposed to make your skin more supple and give it a glowy look.
MY THOUGHTS: This is one product that I wish came in a much bugger tube packaging! I love that this is not super runny so application is easier to control (and good packaging, of course) and that I can carry this around for travel together with the eye cream because of the packaging size. I did notice that the brightening effect indeed true more so when used for both morning and night skincare.
Trying Coconut Skincare Notes
I'm well aware that this review still needs more depth and exploration so I will be updating this post after an additional week. So far I am on my second week and I wanted to be sure of my findings before I write my final thoughts on coconut skincare. For now I think that the claims for this particular set are true and that my skin can perhaps reap more benefits with continued use.
I want to test drive this for 3-4 weeks so I will at least have an idea how my skin will react during my red days. For now I just like that my skin seems to be less irritated and is hydrated without being oily. I'm tempted to look for other coconut skincare products but I am glad that I first tried using coconut skincare products from one of my trusted brands - Esfolio :)
UPDATE: everything I said above held true! My ultimate favorites are the eye cream and the facial toner. I already repurchased them and even bought some for gifting.
