Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review, Swatches, and Price

I got this palette when I went to the launch of the Makeup World brand a few months ago. I was intrigued by the marketing, saying it is an all in one makeup kit and they call it the Makeup World Ultimate Palette.

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review

The palette is certainly huge for sure and is quite heavy.

So, What is the Makeup World Ultimate Palette?

The Ultimate Palette by Makeup World is a big palette containing 16 removable mini palettes that you can mix and match according to what look you are going for in any given day.

It also features a mini palette inside that can fit 2 of the removable palettes at a time so you can take it in your kikay kit.

Makeup World Ultimate Palette

The Makeup World Ultimate Palette contains 4 smaller lip palettes with 4 lip color each. They are not waxy or balm-like as what is usually included in palettes that are sold like this. Some of the colors seem like they will be matte on the pan but all actually have a creamy finish.

I find the berry shades to be very Filipina skin friendly but they are a bit too dark for me.

The reds are all cool-toned ones so they can give the illusion of whiter teeth. Yay!

The nudes are honestly a bit too pale but I was able to make them work by mixing them in with the other colors. The right-most nude is my fave.

The pinks are a bit in your face but I find that they can be toned down when mixed with the nudes or amplified by mixing with the reds or the berries.

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the LipSticks

  • Scent: nearly no scent
  • Color Pay-Off: 2 layers needed to achieve full opacity
  • Texture and finish: Smooth cream, creamy or satin finish
  • Longevity: 3-4 hours
  • User-friendliness: 4.5/5
  • Score: 4.5/5

Just like for the lippies, the Makeup World Ultimate Palette contains 4 smaller eyeshadow palettes sporting 4 shadows each. They do not have insane pigmentation but quite a few of the shimmery ones can hold their ground against highend shadows. Fallout are minimal. If there's anything lacking here for a starter palette it would be berry or purple shades as well as a true black and a deep brown.

The shimmery shadow in the palette above is a great highlighter. The rest are quite ho-hum or great if you've after very light natural looking shadows.

Same as the mini palette before this, I'm wondering though why they included khaki shades because they seldom flatter anyone. This would have a real winner if they went for warm earth tones like terracotta or browns.

The grays and whites are pretty decent but the black one is just a charcoal, not a real black. I would have preferred a deep neutral brown as well.

The above is my favorite because they show up nicely on my skintone.

I love eyeshadows so the rest of the shades are a bit of a disappointment for me. A makeup beginner would love them though.

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the Eyeshadows

  • Scent: nearly no scent
  • Color Pay-Off: 2 to 3 layers needed to achieve full opacity. I wish they included more deeper hues because the natural shades seem redundant.
  • Texture and finish: A bit chalky and dry except the shimmers which are really good
  • Longevity: 3-4 hours
  • User-friendliness: 3.5/5
  • Score: 3.75/5

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the Powder

  • Scent: nearly no scent
  • Color Pay-Off: 2 layers needed to achieve full opacity
  • Texture and finish: powder finish
  • Longevity: 3-4 hours
  • User-friendliness: 4.5/5
  • Score: 4.5/5

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the Highlighter

  • Scent: nearly no scent
  • Color Pay-Off: wow! nice sheen! Kudos for being Asian-skin friendly
  • Texture and finish: finely milled shimmer
  • Longevity: 3-4 hours
  • User-friendliness: 4.5/5
  • Score: 4.5/5

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the Bronzer

  • Color Pay-Off: very pigmented but cannot double as contour because of very warm undertone
  • Texture and finish: A bit challenging to blend but maybe because it is too obvious on my skin.
  • Longevity: 3-4 hours
  • User-friendliness: 3.5/5
  • Score: 4/5

Above is a swatch of both the bronzer and the highlighter.

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the Brow Powders

  • Color Pay-Off: Easy to work with and good they included a wax
  • Texture and finish: easy to apply but the wax is a bit too thin
  • Longevity: 4-5 hours
  • User-friendliness: 4/5
  • Score: 4/5

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the Color Correctors

  • Scent: nearly no scent so yay!
  • Color Pay-Off: 2 to 3 layers needed to achieve full opacity but then you don't go full coberage on color correctors naman
  • Texture and finish: thick cream easily blended
  • Longevity: 3-4 hours
  • User-friendliness: 3.5/5 because beginners may find it tricky to use
  • Score: 4/5

Not super opaque but this palette is meant to be used as travel makeup so good enough in my opinion.

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the Concealers

  • Scent: nearly no scent which is great!
  • Color Pay-Off: 2 to 3 layers needed to achieve full opacity and quite waxy
  • Texture and finish: ratio of pigment to oil is low so not a fan of this
  • Longevity: 3-4 hours
  • User-friendliness: 3.5/5
  • Score: 3.5/5

The colors are too light too so pano naman yung majority of pinays.

Makeup World Ultimate Palette Review for the Blushes

  • Scent: nearly no scent
  • Color Pay-Off: really good! I like that they have shades for both pink and yellow undertone and included one shimmery blush for subtle glam
  • Texture and finish: blendable powders
  • Longevity: 3-4 hours
  • User-friendliness: 4.5/5
  • Score: 4.5/5

They swatch so good, right?

Here are swatches of the lippies! These are very light swatches so overall I think that the palette is great and worth the price. This retails for 1600-2400 depending on where you buy. MY Overall verdict is 4.25/5 not bad!
