Kojic acid soaps can cause skin irritation or hypersensitivity when used inappropriately because kojic acid is an exfoliant. It makes takes off the top dead layer of the skin thereby exposing 'newer skin'. That's why most people can only tolerate using kojic acid soaps once a day and for a short time in the shower only.

Kojic acid soaps can also be drying. Dry skin can get quite itchy! Moisture is key to help soothe irritated and dry skin...which is why Belo Essentials (I think) created their kojic acid + tranexamic acid line to include a moisturizing body lotion with SPF and a face cream that also has SPF.

- moisturizing power: no need for lotion after! yassss
- cleansing power: good clean, does not feel tight or plasticky afterwards
- scent: fresh and clean
- lather: use a loofah to create lather
- value for money: Slightly mahal because one bar can just last me 5 days to a week (just 7-10 showers)
- sensitive skin friendly? Yes! yes! Yes!
- whitening effect: same as other Belo kojic soaps, results will become noticeable in about a week
- overall rating: 4.5/5, only because dissolves too fast but that can be because Belo Essentials do not pump their soaps with hardeners.
