It seems like almost every makeup brand has been coming up with their own version of the ever so popular Naked palettes from Urban Decay. Truth be told, I'm no longer surprised when I spotted the 3 new eyeshadow palettes from the Cathy Doll Nude Me Collection launch and saw that they look like they were inspired from Naked 1, 2, and 3 respectively. What I wasn't expecting was how nice they are; more so when compared to the ones by the "maybe she's born with it" brand!
I would be publishing separate reviews for all 3 new Cathy Doll palettes but I'll start with my favorite among the 3 - the pink one, of course!

I got the Pink Champagne eyeshadow palettes as a press sample after attending the Cathy Doll Nude Me collection launch last week. Being that I'm a sucker for anything pink, I didn't waste any time taking it for a test run. But first, I took lots of photos and videos for makeup porn (see IG and YT channel haha!).

So all 3 variants of the Cathy Doll Nude Me eyeshadow palettes come in individual boxes. As expected, they got some cute details on the packaging. I like the fact that you can see all the eyeshadow shades from the clear window of both the product packaging and box.
The packaging for the eyeshadow is made from a similar plastic used in other drugstore or affordable makeup palettes. It's made for efficiency in protecting the product inside so it isn't fancy at all, just cute and functional.
At the back of the palette, you can see some details such as until when you can use the eyeshadow after initial use, how many grams of product are inside, the product's name, and surprisingly, the manufacturer's contact number along with the manufacturer's website. Maybe this is a Karmart thing because I haven't noticed this with other brands/companies/manufacturers.
Another thing to note with the Cathy Doll Pink Champagne palette is that this product claims to be long wearing without primer (oh wow!) and that you'll have to use a makeup remover to take the shadows off.

There are 12 pretty shades in a mix of matte, satin, shimmery, and frosted/metallic finishes!
The palette comes with a dual-ended sponge tip applicator with the brand name Cathy Doll printed in the middle.
It would have been better if the palette has a mirror for on the go touch-ups...however since the palette is marketed as a long-wearing eyeshadow, then I guess there is no need for it?

I swatched the shadows over my hand without primer using my fingers. If you take a look at the palette in the background, you can see that I didn't have to dig in the pans.
Pan size is same as a 25 centavo peso coin by the way. Don't be deceived by looks though, each pan contains 1 gram of product so it isn't like you're getting so little. 1 gram per shade is somewhat standard for palettes.
I thought it would be great to describe each shade so please use the photo above as a reference since the shades in the palette are not named.
Shade 1 - a matte ivory for blending, highlighting, and as a base color.
Shade 2 - a frosted blushed champagne with a hint of metallic sheen. This one is best applied wet because hello shimmer tears!
Shade 3 - a satin light peach with a touch of brown
Shade 4 - a matte light brownish pink. I want this one as a blush!
Shade 5 - a frosted metallic rose gold. This is so pretty when applied with fingers as you can get the full saturation.
Shade 6 - a frosted metallic copper. I guess you can call this shade penny. Very soft like the other frosted/shimmery shades.
Shade 7 - a matte blushed chocolate milk. Really like chocolate milk with a touch of pink. Love this for the crease and I'd have no qualms using this shade as a blush either.
Shade 8 - a shimmery rose brown.
Shade 9 - a shimmery chocolate with a bit of warmth. Perfect for when you want some drama but don't want to go too dark. Pang Korean Makeup look!
Shade 10 - a shimmery true chocolate brown.
Shade 11 - a satin deep cool-toned brown.
Shade 12 - a satin deep rose brown with flecks of fine pink and brown glitter (that's what I see anyway!)
Cathy Doll Pink Champagne Palette Summary
Shades: 3 matte shades, 3 satins, 3 shimmery shades, and 3 frosted/metallic ones.
Pigmentation: no chalkiness so far and the shades are well saturated with color. Not as crazy as Urban Decay or Lorac but are better than other drugstore brands or palettes along the same price range.
Texture: I won't call the shadows buttery but they glide easily, are soft, blendable, and smooth
Wear time: Almost full day without primer (I got oily lids) and up to 12 hours with primer. After that my lid makes them muddy with all my oil haha! Still, this is better than what I expected.
Value for money: Sulit na sulit bes! Go grab yours asap! The palette is only P499 and you can purchase yours at Zalora, Watsons/SM Beauty, and maybe some 711s.
Overall rating: 4.5/5 only because there's no mirror!
Is the Cathy Doll Nude Me Pink Champagne Palette a dupe for Naked 3?
Yes and NO.
If you're looking for a rose nude palette then this is better than other similar 'dupes' out there but as I've said, this isn't in the same as Urban Decay eyeshadows. I like this better than Maybelline's version and that one is P675 while this is P499.
I do think that if you're a beginner or an average makeup user, then you will enjoy using this palette. more so for everyday makeup.
Cathy Doll is Cruelty-Free which is why I like buying their products.
