I've shared my SRBeautyInsider initial experience in a previous blog and now, I want to let you in on some of the latest available SkinWhite samples at SampleRoom.ph. If you're new to the concept of try-vertising, then you might want to read up my post about that here.
So let's talk about SkinWhite products, shall we?
SkinWhite is a Filipino skincare brand that produces affordable whitening products for the local beauty community. I've used their soap and their SkinWhite Whitening Face Cream Powder back in the day (ahem, a decade ago when I was still in college). I liked their products back then because they're budget friendly, does not irritate my sensitive skin, and does what they are advertised to do.
Over the years, I've used their soap on and off but stopped using the face cream powder because I needed more coverage. Another reason I stopped using their products is because they make products that are meant for people who want to whiten their skin and since I have no plans to turn transparent, I switched to using products with no whitening properties #palegirlproblems
So anyway, I just wanted to make it clear that I didn't have a change of heart and suddenly wanted to make my skin get any paler..but like most women, I wanted my skin tone to be even or pantay in tagalog. This is where using some products with skin whitening properties made a come back in my regimen. I've talked about this oodles of time on my YouTube videos and some of you may be aware of this.
Back to the quest for the 'pantay' or even skin. I'm all about using products with sunscreen because I noticed that protecting my skin from the sun meant that I don't develop freckles and/or sun spots. This is why I got so excited when I received my very first SampleRoom Beauty Insider kit from SkinWhite! Yassss
The 3 products included in the PR package all have sunscreen properties. Bonus is that I happened to have a great experience using the brand's products in the past.

The SkinWhite Classic with Light-Feel Technology Lotion SPF10 is the newest product from this bunch. The older version of this affordable whitening lotion didn't really appeal to me (because I have an aversion towards ALL lotions, haha!) but I did test this one out for a full two weeks.
What makes the SkinWhite Classic with Light-Feel Technology Lotion SPF10 amaze-balls is how light it is! It really dries down like water. No weird sticky sensation unlike other lotions in the market.
I remember that the day the parcel arrived, it was a crazy warm 38C and I went to QC Circle to walk my dog. I brought the lotion with me to test out and I was so impressed with how it dried fast, smelled like baby powder, and STILL smelled fresh after a few hours of frolicking in the afternoon heat. Since then, I've used this SkinWhite Classic with Light-Feel Technology Lotion SPF10 for 14-15ish days and have been loving this as my 'daily' lotion. That's HUGE for a non-lotion-loving gal!

To be honest, I'm not into skin whitening because I'm already super pale but hey, after my experience testing out SkinWhite Classic with Light-Feel Technology Lotion SPF10, of course, I wanted to check out if the SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion SPF20 would be as nice as well.
One of the claims of the SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion SPF20 is that it has an instant whitening effect. Although it says that it will take more than a week to see visible results, the skin will look brighter right after initial application. See the photo below? The two pictures were taken just 2-3 minutes apart!

I haven't tested the SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion SPF20 long enough to see if it is true that it will give the user whiter skin after a week but hey, I think the photos above speaks for itself! My friend uses this lotion by the way and she swears by the power of the SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion SPF20 so there you go!
My thoughts: the SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Lotion SPF20 is a sweet-smelling lotion that does not have a sticky feel even after sweating (yey!). I love that it has SPF 20. I'll definitely keep my bottle for further testing once I'm out of my tanning stage.
Note that I'm actually trying to tan so using a whitening lotion at the same time would be counter-productive for me.

The SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Face Cream Powder is the star of this review because I've used this same exact product years and years ago! I've actually squealed like an excited pig (haha!) when I saw this inside the parcel...yassss!

Do note that the SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Face Cream Powder is not marketed as a makeup product, foundation, or BB cream. It is a face cream that actually works like a CC cream..or at least close to it. I think this would be great for students or those who do not like looking like they have makeup on.
The SkinWhite Advanced PowerWhitening Face Cream Powder offers only light coverage but can be built up to medium coverage. This dries to a satin-finish so it does not look cake-y. It does have moisturizing properties too so I think that's a bonus!
