Truth be told, I've been hearing about the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence and the Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream for a while but I was in denial thinking that maybe I'm not 'that old' yet to start using with an anti-aging skincare routine...but who are we kidding? I'm in my 30s and I should have started about a decade ago!
Anyway, Olay partnered with SampleRoomPh to launch their newest product combination in the Philippines, the Olay Regenerist Night Ritual Duo, and I was one of the few lucky bloggers who got to try it out a few days in advance of you guys!
Wait, it gets even MORE exciting! We were asked to try out the Olay Regenerist Night Ritual Duo and take the #5NightsChallenge as part of the #SRBeautyInsider search, and of course, share what our findings are.
Are they kidding me? I BREATHE challenges! Challenge accepted! #Olay28DayChallenge accepted too after this 5 days!

Now guys, just a backgrounder. This week (and the past week) is one of the most stressful weeks of the year for myself. I am a nurse review lecturer and since the Philippine nurse board exam was scheduled on June 5 and 6, you can just imagine how even more challenging this challenge is (haha!). I'm also having my signature bad skin week courtesy of my time of month (is that TMI? I feel that you should know the real deal) and so I thought that if these two products would achieve at least half of their claims in the 5 nights that I'll be using them, I'll be so impressed ... and I was!
Geez, I'm even gushing like a school girl in my challenge and review video!

Okay, not a video sort of person? That's fine, I got you covered with some product photos and details below...but really, the video is the real deal!
I'll still show you photos though, because I'm nice like that :)
The packaging for both the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence and the Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream have a luxe look and feel. Hard to believe they're quite affordable for skincare at only 3,000 for BOTH!
Now, this is where it can get picture heavy so I will be focusing on the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence first and then we'll tackle the Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream later, okay?
Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence
The Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence comes in a 40 ml bottle with a self-loading dropper. The dropper dispenses around 0.5ml of product and you're supposed to use 2 dropper-fuls per use...so one bottle is good for about 40 uses. How long that will last will depend on if you'll use the product twice a day as recommended or just use it at night. One bottle is at P1399.
Personally, 1 dropper-ful is enough (for me) per application and yep, that includes use for the neck as well.
When you twist the cap open, the cap automatically draws the perfect amount of product into the dropper.
The consistency of the Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence is sort of like a very thin gel. It can get quite runny upon contact with skin.
The scent is a milder version of the Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream's scent. Still fruity-floral (like other Olay products) but very pleasant and spa-like. It does not linger, at least in my opinion.
It also spreads pretty fast and absorbs like a dream! I was worried that this will feel sticky like similar products I've tried in the past but this actually feels like SKII at only 1/8th of the price! WOW!
The texture is very light. It feels quite refreshing too!
The Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence is not meant to be used on its own guys, you will still have to follow it up with moisturizer or essence. Because I am doing the Olay Night Ritual 5 Nights Challenge, I only used it with the Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream and nothing else.
By the way, I know someone out there is itching to know so I'll just say this----->
BOTH wears well under makeup! Yasssss!
I repeat, they work well under makeup on my oily sensitive skin!
Note: I will have another blog post going to the science behind The Olay Regenerist Miracle Boost Youth Pre-Essence in a week or two or when I post my 14th and 28th day updates (because I got my geek mode on, haha!) but for now, just know that the product underwent 6 years of clinical study from 2006 to 2012...so this isn't just a churned out hyped product. This is it pancit!
Okay, let's move on to the other half of the Olay Night Ritual Duo,
the Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream!
Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream
The Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream comes in a 50 gram jar. I like that the jar's got some heft to it. Feels expensive but is such a steal at just around $40 because it is only P1,699!
The packaging reminds me of the Chanel Sublimage La Creme in terms of feel but that one is $400 a jar so this is only 1/10th the price and not far from that when it comes to the effects on the skin (in my humble opinion of course).
Now, I just wish that this comes with a spatula or maybe packaged in a tube for hygiene reasons but hey, creams are almost always in jars anyway (I'm looking at you, all brands!)
Okay, let's talk about the cream. It looks quite thin in here but that is because I took this photo as soon as the courier handed the parcel to me so it has been sitting in a warm motorbike prior. In normal room temperature, the consistency is a thick but light cream. It is quite difficult to describe. Just know that it is soooooo smooth. Like smooooooooth-smooth :)
Scent is a fruity-floral combo that's both mild and pleasing (like most Olay products). Unlike the pre-essence, the scent of this Olay Regenerist Micro-sculpting Cream lingers but I don't mind it because it is so mild and goes away after I put on makeup in the morning. At night, it makes me feel so relaxed and helps me fall asleep.

The TRUE changes during the #5NightsChallenge is not super visible in photos but you can certainly feel it (in the video, my skin has a certain glow on Day 5 compared to Day 1 so you better watch it!). Some of my redness are gone. When I wake up these days it looks like I've already applied some CC cream when I am still bare-faced. My skin feels bouncy and hydrated. Makeup behaves...and best part is I did not have any additional breakouts (always a problem for those with sensitive skin) although it is that time of the month!
So far I am happy with my results so I will be continuing this and will be updating you guys on Day 14 and Day 28!
